María Fe Bravo Ortiz

Attending Psychiatrist and Adjunt Professor

María Fe Bravo is the head of the Department of Psychiatry, Clinical Psychology and Mental Health of the Hospital Universitario La Paz in Madrid and associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM). She is a senior researcher at the Research Institute in Psychiatry and Mental Health of the Research Institute of La Paz University Hospital (IdiPAZ), where she is leading numerous projects. In the area of ​​psychosis, she is the principal investigator of the project Environment and Genes in Schizophrenia – Groups of the Community of Madrid (AGES-CM 2-CM), and in two projects associated with it. She is also the Spanish principal investigator of the project “The COVID-19 HEalth caRe wOrkErS (HEROES),” and has led local initiatives of several European projects on poverty and mental health. She is a collaborating researcher in the project “Improving the Preparedness of Health Systems to Reduce Mental Health and Psychosocial Concerns resulting from the COVID-19 Pandemic (RESPOND).” She is a delegate of the Collegiate Medical Organization (OMC) for the UEMS and representative of the Spanish Association of Neuropsychiatry (AEN) in the Council of National Associations of Psychiatry of the European Psychiatric Association (EPA).
