Elvira Lara is a Juan de la Cierva – posdoctoral researcher at the Department of Psychiatry from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. She has a degree in Psychology, a graduate in Pedagogy and a PhD in Psychology from the University of Barcelona. She has extensive experience in epidemiology and mental health, with a particular interest on ageing, subjective well-being, cognitive decline, social factors, and depression. She is currently involved in several national and international projects (e.g., Edad con Salud; RESPOND; SURVIVE). Elvira has published numerous scientific articles in international journals and has participated in various national and international conferences. She has also been professor at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and Universidad Isabel I. She currently collaborates in a course about Positive Psychology at the Universidad Internacional de La Rioja.
