Psychiatrist, Doctor of Medicine from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. She is the section head of the La Paz University Hospital and associate professor of the Department of Psychiatry at the UAM in Madrid. Director of the master’s degree in Integrative Perspective Psychotherapy at the University of Alcalá de Henares in Madrid. Member of the National Commission of Psychiatry. Director of the UAM School of Mindfulness Certified instructor by the Center for Mindfulness of the University of Massachusetts and Brown, and teacher trainer for the MBSR program and accredited for the Interpersonal Mindfulness program. Her main fields of interest are Psychotherapy, Mindfulness, Trauma, suicide prevention, Chronic pain, and psycho-oncology. She has participated in the design of the apps “En calma en el quirófano” and REM VOLVER A CASA. She has been a principal investigator and collaborator in research projects funded by external national and international agencies. She is currently Principal Investigator of the SURVIVE coordinated project (IdiPAZ center) and collaborator of the project “Improving the Preparedness of Health Systems to Reduce Mental Health and Psychosocial Concerns resulting from the COVID-19 Pandemic (RESPOND).” She is the author of several books and scientific articles.
